Photograph article dated January 21, 1958 partially reads, "Twenty-two women are today spotlighted as nominees for the coveted Hourglass Award, to be presented by Hilltoppers of the Assistance League to the Valley's 'most outstanding woman' on Jan. 29 in Sportsmen's Lodge, North Hollywood... Mrs. Marvin Sirbu was president of North Hollywood Co-ordinating Council for 1953-54 and has been on the advisory board since that time. Also active in youth clubs, she has worked as Red Cross campaign officer, and served as a member of the board of directors of the Welfare Planning Council."
