The 'Common House' of the Leper-house of Orofara In front of the building : Two deaconesses, sent by the Société des missions évangéliques de Paris (Paris evangelical missionary society) the Leper-house of Orofara from 1924 to 1927, as nurses : Sister Rosa Lefebvre and Sister Marthe Junker. They were with three Tahitian : Ani (Mauripiti, Viri (Raitea) and Julot (Papeete). Comment : The Leper-house of Orofara, located in the valley of Mahina (Tahiti), was established in 1914 by the colonial government.
