Description

Most of the window's elements are subdued in the print, while some of the main figures are enhanced for emphasis. A large figure of Gutenberg is seen in the center of the window, and he is surrounded by symbols and figures of early writing, printing, literature, and scholarship. The main themes of the window's images are progress and conservation of learning, the written alphabet, and arts of printing and illustration.
