Photograph of an exterior view of the Shell Oil Company, showing four cylindrical towers, ca.1940. The four towers stand across center with the tallest on the far left. Ladders with rounded guard rails climb up the sides of three of the towers to the circular platforms t their tops. The second tower from the left, has no ladders, but two thin platforms which circle around the circumference at separate levels of the tower. The towers stand above the knot of intersecting pipes below.
