The San Fernando Drag Strip, in operation during the 1950s and 1960s, was located at Glenoaks Blvd. and Arroyo Avenue.
Photograph caption dated February 7, 1958 reads, "Dan Tracy, left, of Sun Valley, inspector at San Fernando Drag Strip, inspects motor of car owned by Chuck Reed of Woodland Hills, member of King Pins hot rod club, prior to race on one-quarter mile drag strip. Harry Hibler, right, of Granada Hills, technical chief at strip, paints identifying number on windshield. All cars must pass inspection before they are allowed on drag strip."
