Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, taken by photographer Edward Vischer, ca.1875. Three men are visible at the bottom of a large entranceway approximately 30 feet tall. Two men stand while the third is situated in front of them on horseback. Inside the giant arch nine faux-windows are carved into the stone wall at its back. Part of the stone structure is crumbling on the hill to the left, and the terracotta roof tiles at the very top show signs of disrepair as well.
