Photograph caption dated May 20, 1965 reads "Bill Delaney (center) of Santa Ana College leads the charge across finish line of second heat of mile run in last week's Southern California junior college track preliminaries at Glendale College. At left is Bill Trujillo of San Diego Mesa College, who ran second, and Pierce's Bill Scobey, third. Trio was timed in 4:11.7, 4:11.9, and 4:11.9, respectively, to qualify for tomorrow's finals also at Glendale."
