Wide view of a beach with men, women, and children in the water and on the shore in Redondo Beach, California. Rowboats and cabanas are scattered along the sand. A railroad train runs along the back edge of beach, and the ornate Hotel Redondo building sits on the land above the tracks.
Title transcribed from front of photo. Date approximated by cataloger; the Hotel Redondo and the railroad tracks were both opened around 1890. Printed along bottom of photo-mount: "Views at Redondo Beach, Cal. / Hill Pasadena, Cal."
