Photograph article dated March 29, 1962 partially reads, "Square dancing is luring Valleyites the way a colorful fly entices a fat trout from a stream - with one difference, when you're hooked in square dancing it's a delight instead of a disaster. The contagious hobby has spread to more than 15,000 Valley residents. Seven nights a week recreation rooms of schools, churches, parks and any hall big enough to hold a few squares is jammed with sashaying dancers ranging in age from pre-teens to senior citizens." Here, several members of the Bachelors and Bachelorettes Square Dance Club can be seen dancing at Van Nuys Junior High School.
