A road bordered by wood fencing leads into the photograph and crosses the "old mile trestle"; across the trestle model T-fords are seen in both directions; at the left in the center is a bridge over the railroad tracks; on the right center is a billboard with the words "Federal Out."; on the left is a Railroad Crossing "X" and on the right a "Danger" sign
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
