Northrup Institute, located at 1155 W. Arbor Vitae in Inglewood; view is looking northwest. Arbor Vitae runs lower right to lower left; Isis Avenue is slightly vertically up the middle; Aviation Boulevard is lower left to top middle; the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway Company railroad tracks are middle left and curve toward the right. Northrup Institute was founded in 1942 by John K. Northrup and James L. McKinley as Northrup Aeronautical Institute. It was just called Northrup Institute by the time this photograph was taken. Photograph dated December 3, 1957.
