This view of K Street circa 1952 shows no traffic and a few pedestrians. The street is dominated by business signs, including the Esquire Theater (1219 K Street), Times Theater (1214 K Street), Funland Amusements (1220 K Street), Benatar's General Drug Center (1224 K Street), The Topper Tavern (1225 K Street), Studio Theater (1227 K Street). And farther down the street, the Weinstock Lubin Department Store (1120 K Street), Pacific Gas and Electric Company (1100 K Street), and the Fox Senator Theater (912 K Street). On the Esquire Theater marquee the movie "My Wild Irish Rose" starring Dennis Morgan is being promoted while the Times Theater advertises the "Red Stallion."
