Bound manuscript contains a report by a committee of engineers on the quality of cement used for the Los Angeles Aqueduct. Report gives information related to defects found in the cement mixtures, chemical tests, and analyses of the concrete. Manuscript is comprehensive and includes extensive tables which detail composition of cement used in the aqueduct, outside references to other reports on concrete and engineering, as well as letter correspondence between the inspecting engineers and those heading the Los Angeles Aqueduct project. Report contains signatures of the consulting engineers for the report. Pages 63 to 100 of report contain pictures of various parts of the aqueduct and concrete samples. Inspection was conducted from April 12th to the 21st, 1912. Photographs in report were taken April 13th through the 20th.
