Description
1. - An Indian Street. A headman of a village in the Nadiya district of Bengal having heard the Gospel, was converted. He gave up a lucrative business to avoid the lying it involved and made his shop a centre for preaching. Only one Indian village in sixty has a resident Christian teacher." The color postcard shows a village street scene, with people sitting or standing under thatched roofs on either side of the path. The back of the postcard reads "Church Missionary Society Y. P. U. Series 2.
