Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated December 25, 1961 partially reads, "To the policemen and World War II servicemen who visited her Burbank shop she was known simply as 'Mom.' For 14 years, Mom maintained a tailor-dressmaking shop at 324 S. San Fernando Blvd., but it wasn't only her sewing skill which drew visitors to her shop. Veterans on the Burbank police force can remember the days when they used to walk the 'boulevard beat,' often stopping to see Mom, who was always ready with a cup of coffee, a snack, a friendly greeting."
