Includes bibliographical references (p. 15-17). Matthew Henry McIndoo was born in Ontario Canada in 1860. He and his wife, Sarah, immigrated to Fresno in 1903. He is listed in the US census as farmer. Commissioned the Mission Revival/Craftsman style dwelling around 1904. No architect has been documented for the McIndoo house, but design approach is similar to architect Benjamin G. McDougall.
