Photograph caption dated August 10, 1961 reads, "Mrs. Frances Miller, Pacoima branch librarian, begins boxing of 13,000 volumes for move into a new $200,000 facility at 13605 Van Nuys Blvd. It will take two weeks to complete the move out of the old library at 13704 Van Nuys Blvd. The library will open Aug. 23 at 2 p.m." The woman at left is unidentified.
