Description
Original photograph has several stains.
Photograph caption dated October 16, 1957 reads "Tiny quarter midget racers hug curves rounding out last lap of 1/20 mile track at San Fernando. Racers, named quarter midgets because they are one-fourth size of regulation midget racing cars, weigh about 175 pounds and cost close to $500. Cars can gain speeds up to 24 mph and are equipped with several safety devices." See images 00154485 through 00154487 for all photos in this series.
