Description
Photograph article dated March 16, 1963 partially reads, "Valley College's track team, with its 18 consecutive dual meet winning streak halted, has its work cut out if the Monarchs are to repeat as champions of the Metropolitan Conference. Cerritos College snapped the Valley College win streak Friday afternoon in Van Nuys with a 66-56 victory." Photograph caption reads, "Valley College's Otis Burrell sails over high jump bar - He failed to clear 6' 10" but won his speciality [sic] at 6' 8"."
