Description
Forty-eight, 20-year-old containers of potentially explosive ether were found in a Hermosa Beach warehouse, which were once part of a 200-bed portable field hospital. Sheriff's bomb squad took the ether four miles north to Dockweiler Beach, packed the cans in sand, and detonated the containers. Photograph dated June 17, 1982.
