The Sweethearts Ball was held at the Municipal Auditorium in Eureka, California on February 14, 1947. This formal dance was the social highlight of the Arcata-Eureka social season. Note in can: 10 minute reel of "Sweethearts Ball", Municipal Auditorium, 14 Feb 1947. Harold Tupper, President of the Freshman Class, Humboldt State College, which sponsored this formal dance, was the organizer and guiding spirit of the (social highlight) of the Arcata-Eureka social season.
