Photograph caption dated March 2, 1980 reads, "The LAPD is reviewing reports that some officers overreacted when yesterday's May Day march through downtown by members of the Revolutionary Communist Party developed into a violent confrontation. Above left, a marcher is clubbed by an officer, another, center shows vividly signs of the struggle while two spectators wear their feelings on their chests."
