A haypress crew poses in front of their equipment, horses and carts. The cook, at right, wears an apron. Note that he has lost his hat (it lies on the ground behind him). The cook wagon is in background, on the right. This photograph is faded and damaged.

Master images scanned at 300 dpi and scaled to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Bit depth: grayscale at 8-bit; color at 24-bit. Images compressed to 800 pixels across the long dimension and to JPEG format. Scanning outsourced to Luna Imaging Inc. as part of an LSTA Grant funded by the California State Library in 2003-2004. Scanning hardware is unknown.
