In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 38.
In center foreground is the tomb of Rev. D.C. Wheeler; a large marker stands on the grave stone which records his birth and death dates and information about his activities as pastor; it sits in the middle of a grassy plot; behind it are seen many tomb stones on grassy plots, placed close together; bare, leafless trees stretch in the background to the sky.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
