Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Gail Borden's residence in Alhambra, [s.d.]. The residence was designed by L.B. Valk in the Spanish Eclectic style, built in 1900. It sits at center, occupying the majority of the middle-ground. Its walls are finished in light colored stucco, while its roof is covered with terracotta tile. An ornate portico with a large archway designates the main entrance. Windows are spaced evenly along both the first and second floors, with a bay window on the lower right side and dormer windows on the upper right side. A second-story balcony is visible on the left side of the second floor. A short set of stairs leads to another archway on the right side of the house. A bench sits to the left of the main entrance, facing the house, bordered by a curved concrete walkway that goes from the image's lower left to middle left. A large palm tree is at the far left of the image, in front of the residence two other trees sit at center, and more trees are visible in the distance, at the right of the image.
