In 1958, Alpha Beta acquired Raisin's Market, a 13-store chain named for Phil Raisin. In September 2010, this retail area became known as the Santa Fe Springs Plaza Shopping Center.
Looking northeast over Raisin's Market, located at 13451 Telegraph Road (foreground to right) at Gunn Avenue (center) in South Whittier, an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County. Smaller businesses are seen across Telegraph Avenue (lower right corner) and numerous housing tracts fill the background. Photograph dated January 30, 1955.
