In view of serious accelerated erosion from cultivated slopes, gullies will make it difficult for farm machinery to be drawn across fields. Foreground represents cut in valley fill resulting from accelerated runoff from cultivated slopes. It is the practice in this country to disc over gullies as soon as possible following rain storms to reduce deepening of gullies. February 23, 1932
