Title supplied by cataloger. The new cafeteria facility on the ninth floor of the $28 million structure opened its doors for business at 7:00 am. Generously spaced, there are enough tables to accommodate 500 persons at once. It is managed by Leonard Glaser, 40, who was awarded the operation contract by the Board of Supervisors on his bid, giving the county 13-1/2% of gross receipts. All county employees working in the Civic Center were issued cards allowing them use of the cafeteria. Photograph shows two cooks in the kitchen of the new Los Angeles County Courthouse cafeteria. The cafeteria is now open for business, serving breakfast and lunch on weekdays. Photograph dated August 11, 1959.
