Description
"Trauzug von 3 Paaren auf dem Weg zur Kirche" ("Wedding train of 3 couples on their way to church"). Three couples lead by a priest. The couples are dressed in white, the priest is wearing a topee. They are crossing a path that leads to two buildings. The building on the left is made of stone with a thatched roof. In front of it an African person. There is a further white bulding in the background.
Johannes Schanz (1876-1963) was a priest. He worked for the Leipzig Mission in Moshi and Memba from 1901-1910.
