Description
A woman wears a pale blue satin gown, with a darker blue stomacher with trim and white lace at the neck and pink lapels on the bodice. Below the blue upper sleeves are wide white lace cuffs. Her shoes are white and pointed with a bow at the toe and a low heel. She wears a white mobcap with pink ribbon bows and a chin strap. She holds a white handkerchief in her right hand. Her left hand rests lightly on the man's right hand. The man wears a wig and a dun-colored frock coat with full skirts and brass buttons. His stockings are a paler dun and his shoes are black, low-heeled, and buckled. Under his coat, the cuffs and collar of his white shirt are visible. His left hand points down at the couple's shoes, which nearly touch. The couple may be dancing. A faint pencil marking "sk/75[unknown symbol]" is written in the lower right hand corner.
