Photograph caption reads: "Mural in back points up Van Nuys wing to be activated Sunday". S/Sgt. Apo of the 146th Air Transport Wing is preparing an Hawaiian luau for several hundred soon-to-be activated Van Nuys Air National Guardsmen and their guests. Several cast members of TV's Hawaiian Eye will attend as well a set of traditional sword dancers. Photograph dated: Sept. 30, 1961.
