A Contra squad poses for a photographer at El Porvenir Farm, located two kilometers from the Honduras-Nicaragua border. From left to right: platoon leader Eco, Krill (ex member of the National Guardsman Julio César Ortiz, who was trained in Argentina), Comandante Suicida (ex National Guard Sergeant Pedro Ortiz Centeno), Josué, and Delta who is crouching. They are all Belgian FN FAL assault rifles. Three of them are wearing berets, one is wearing a cap, and one a fisherman's hat. They are members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), whose members are informally known as "Contras."
