“Jackson.” Portrait of a man in the uniform of a Hospital assistant. Jackson Chabari worked at the Chogoria hospital as an assistant, then senior assistant, for twenty one years before retiring in 1950. He returned to work in the hospital as the dispenser after setting up his own business. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
