Description
Standing on guard at the waterfront in the maritime strike at the Los Angeles harbor, policeman are pictured in front of the temporary shelter they have built. The officers, G.A. Evans (left), and W.A. Ellenson have named the shelter Pelican Inn and decorated its sides with humorous signs reading "Room for rent", "24-hour service" and others. Ships can be seen anchored in the background.
