Description
United Artist Theatre, 263 South 1st. Street The United Artist Theatre was built in 1918 and opened as the Hippodrome, a vaudeville stronghold for several years until it became the motion picture theatre called the American. In 1938 the building was remodeled and renamed the State. In 1951 it became United Artists.
