Description
"On trip to Pho Leng with Carman, January 1922. Farmers just outside village pumping water with water wheel for fields. Paddles run up trough, pulling water with them, on endless belt and rotated by feet of men." Three water wheels are set up by the edge of the water, and farmers use pedals to bring the water up for irrigation.
