View is looking west at the bridge which connects Hilgard Avenue to the main campus quadrangle at the U.C.L.A. Westwood campus. The gully over which the bridge passed was filled in after World War I. The bridge was designed by architect George W. Kelham. The twin towers of Royce Hall may be seen in the background. Building was built in 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. On the right is Haines Hall, built in 1928 and designed by architect George W. Kelham. Both buildings were constructed in a northern Italian Romanesque style.
