Photograph caption dated April 9, 1957 reads "Mrs. Patricia McKeown, Sunset Strip cocktail waitress of North Hollywood, is shown as she appeared in Municipal Court where her one-time friend, Fred J. Barton, was held to answer on a charge of assault to commit murder. Barton is accused of trying to kill Mrs. McKeown by forcing her to take sleeping pills. Barton denies charge."
