Photograph caption dated November 6, 1957 reads, "Joseph Damico, director of San Fernando Valley Humane Society, 15924 Arminta St., Van Nuys, STate 6-7456, introduces long-eared friend to inquisitive collie dog. Both animals were placed in homes by non-profit society which has found homes for 150 animals during its four-month Valley Operation. Society will affiliate with National Humane Society its 30 members receive their charter."
