Description
Jesus "Little Poison" Pimentel (left), No. 1 bantamweight contender, and his twin brother, Jose Luis, are featured on Thursday's card at the Olympic. Jesus fights Marciano "Little Rock" Rivas in the main event, Jose is paired with Olin Martin. Jesus Pimentel was an exciting Mexican bantamweight boxer who fought from 1960-1971. A fan favorite at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and at The Forum due to his terrific punching power; Jesus won 77 bouts, 68 by knockout, and lost 7. He would eventually be selected to the Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Photo dated: April 12, 1967.
