Description
Photograph of a view of Mission Street in San Francisco, showing twisted streetcar tracks and other earthquake damage, 1906. The cobblestone street appears swollen as the ground underneath has shifted considerably. The streetcar tracks embedded in the road have been twisted out of shape. Several people are gathered near the bulge in the road. The post office building is visible in the background at left. It is a tall stone building that does dot appear to be damaged significantly.
