Description
"A Chart" shown at the Tenney Committee Hearing. Symbols in chart stand for: O - Officer; C - Candidate; S - Sponsor; E - Endorser; M - Member; S - Financial contributor; # - Speaker; A - Author; and G - Guest. Explanation of Chart's code system: In this chart, in most instances, a code listing means that the reference includes the particular activity designated and also all others below it in the list of symbols on this page. Thus---an officer of an organization is obviously also a member and a financial contributor of the organization. There are only a few authors and guest references on particularly communistic activities. Most officers and speakers are prolific writers, and may make many guest appearances before various front organizations. Photo dated: January 4, 1946.
