Description
This November 25, 1974, photograph shows, left to right, County Executive T.G. Campbell, Librarian Karen Mathis, County Supervisor Eugene Gualco, Architect Julius Mirza, and City-County Librarian Harold Martelle preparing to break ground for a new county library, at the southeast corner of Van Maren Lane and Auburn Boulevard. A three-acre construction site would be the setting for a 12,000-square-foot facility serving both Citrus Heights and Foothill Farms communities.
