Description
A crowd of 400 people attended the City Council hearing, most of them were there to oppose the proposed route of the Ventura Freeway to San Fernando Valley. Spokesmen said 600 homes, including those of three movie stars, would have to be wrecked or moved. They proposed two routes farther north, but engineers said these routes could not be used because they would cut through Sepulveda Flood Control Dam, which is property of the federal government. Photo dated: October 20, 1952.
