Description
This document is a letter written by J. W. Burdette to L. S. Dyer [sic]. The letter was written on letterhead from the Home Life Association on October 9th, 1886. The letterhead listed J. W. Burdette as the president, Hon A. H. Stutsman as vice president, John M. Mercer as secretary, Hon T. W. Newman as judicial director, and W. W. Nassau as medical director of the Home Life Association. The letter was in response to a letter written by L. S. Dyer [sic] on October 1st, 1886 asking for a proxy for Burdette’s water stock in a vote. Burdette writes that he has confidence that L. S. Dyer [sic] will find a trustworthy person or L. S. Dyer [sic] can be the proxy himself. Burdette expresses that he is anxious to advance his business but would like to do so with little sacrifice.
