Description
Photograph of aluminum ingots on a loading dock, ca. 1930. At center, numerous piles of aluminum ingots can be seen on the loading dock of a warehouse. The ingots are layered in each pile in a deliberate crisscross fashion. The ingots were molded so that three small containers on the object can be seen on each side. To the far right in the background, a man is seen operating a small forklift. The number "2" can be seen on the back surface of the forklift. The man carries a large, empty container at the front of the machine, and several full containers can be seen behind him in the background. In the extreme background to the right, a sliding door of the warehouse is partially open showing a small glimpse of the interior. The large wall of the warehouse completely surrounds this small doorway.
