Portrait Daniel Cate and Felix Hail's home. "An early settler, Cate built the County's first blacksmith shop, flour and saw mills. He was the first CA. treasurer. A rancher, he rented this house in town from J.E. Edwards in the 1860-1970s. From 1882-1919 Hail publisher of the "Plumas National Bulletin" lived here. The stone pillars and foundation were added about 1918. The home (now apartments) was located at 532 Jackson Street." Daniel Cate and Felix Hail Home
