Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the New York Telephone Company, the Barclay-Vesey Building, Manhattan, New York, [s.d.]. The skyscraper stands at center with hundreds of windows in its sides. What appears to be a bridge stands just in front of the massive building separating it from the shorter apartment building on the left. Many horse-drawn carriages clutter West Street in the foreground as people walk the sidewalks on the left. Caption reads "The new home of the New York Telephone Co. completed October 29, 1925. This stately structure is situated at the corner of Barclay and Vesey Streets and faces the Hudson River on the front side. It is considered one of the fines skyscrapers in New York and was built and equipped with the latest devices of modern engineering technique".
