Description
Fourteen interior and exterior views of the Capitol Theatre at 219 E. Seaside Way, Long Beach. Built in 1925 and named the Ritz, name changed to Capitol later in 1925; name changed to Tracy in 1934. Mott number 55 corresponds with Gladding, McBean and Company; no. 476 corresponds with Boller Bros. architects. 1992-1900 (55-274) and 1992-1901 (55-275) exterior view with Ritz sign -- 1992-1902 (476-1), 1992-1903 (476-2), and 1992-1912 (476-11) exterior views with Capitol sign -- 1992-1905 (467-4), 1992-1906 (475-5), and 1992-1913 (476-12) interior views showing stage and some seating --1992-1907 (476-6) and 1992-1908 (476-7) details of interior walls -- 1992-1904 (476-3) interior looking back from the stage -- 1992-1909 (476-8), 1992-1910 (476-9), and 1992-1911 (476-10) views of lobby with fireplace.
