Description: Photo shows raiders checking baseball wagering records. On left, Detective Robert Conlon and (right) Sgt. M.H. Martin led the raid on an alleged Culver City baseball syndicate, smashing an $18,000,000 a year baseball and football gambling syndicate. The seizure of "Blue Book" records shows payments made from $1.00 to $18,754 by a Spring Street figure to Hollywood celebrities and others. Photo dated: July 18, 1950.
